Formula 1 2019: Launch Event For Australian Grand Prix Week

Winter break is nearing the end and Formula 1 will be returning to our screens soon! To celebrate, Formula 1 will hold the first-ever season launch ‘party’ ahead of the first race in Australia, Melbourne.

The event which is open for fans to attend will take place in Melbourne’s Federation Square – with all 20 drivers and team bosses making an appearance to kick-start the new season.

Sean Bratches (Formula 1’s Commercial Chief) said – “Since 1996, except on two occasions, Formula 1, the greatest spectacle in the world, has kicked off it’s year in Melbourne. There really couldn’t be a location which is better than this fantastic city – the passion, the knowledge, the enthusiasm of the Melbourne crowd all deserve a special thanks and this is why we have decided to organise the first ever season launch in the event of the history of the sport.”

The event will kick-start the 2019 Formula 1 season with the very first race being the Australian Grand Prix which will take place on the 17th March and prior to this, we’ll have a four-day test at the Circuit de Catalunya which runs from February 18-21.
