Lawrence Still Buys Force India
A couple of weeks ago, it was announced that Force India has gone into administration however many believed that it wouldn’t be the case for long.
Now, in the summer break, it does in fact look like things are on the up for the team as the announcement was made yesterday, on Tuesday that the team would coming out of administration with a takeover of investors, led by Canadian billionaire Lawrence Stroll – Lance Stroll’s dad.
None of the details surrounding the financial agreement have been disclosed however, what we all know is that the 405 jobs at the company would be secure and this would continue to allow “drivers to compete with confidence” for the rest of the season.
At the moment, the two drivers at Force India are Esteban Ocon and Sergio Perez however, with the move by Lawrence Stroll and the announcement with Daniel Ricciardo’s move to Renault for 2019, we could see a major change.
Lawrence Stroll hasn’t only saved the 405 jobs at Force India, he’s also helping his son with his Formula 1 career as things have been downhill for Lance Stroll who has been struggling at Williams.
There’ll be more news to come over the summer break so make sure you keep checking back for all the latest!
