Williams Confirms Sergey Sirotkin For 2018
The announcement is something which Formula 1 fans were patiently waiting for and today, the team confirmed that Sergey Sirotkin will be joining Lance Stroll in the 2018 FIA Formula One World Championship.
About Sergey Sirotkin
The 22-year-old driver impressed the team with his performance at the Abu Dhabi tyre test where he drove the FW40 for the first time. The Russian will be making his Formula 1 race debut at the 2018 Australian Grand Prix later this year.
In 2016, the driver was selected as a Test Driver for Renault Sport F1 along with combining his role with a second season in the GP2 series which saw him finish third.
In 2017, Sergey Sirotkin continued with Renaut F1 and took part in FP1 sessions as well as the Bahrain test – gaining the essential experience he needed.
