Lewis Hamilton to start Brazilian Grand Prix from Pitlane
Following his accident in qualifying yesterday, Lewis Hamilton, World Champion, is set to start the Brazilian Grand Prix from the pit lane.
After losing the rear of the car in Q1, the driver was set to start the Grand Prix from 20th – last place on the grid after failing to set a time.
However, Mercedes have since made changes to his car – confirming that they have fitted different parts to the car, compared to what Hamilton was using on Saturday.
This includes fresh engine components which will be used for the final two races – Brazil and Abu Dhabi.
Lewis Hamilton spoke to the media following the news and this is what he had to say about starting the race from the pit lane – “I think I’m starting from the pit lane so it’s not the most exciting thing. We can only go forwards from there – I’ll give it everything I’ve got.”
